Merritt Academy Robotics - Cyberstangs
Dominion is a sponsor of the Merritt Academy Cyberstangs. The Cyberstangs is a robotics team with a goal of spreading the word of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and building an amazing robot. The team has been preparing for various competitions over the past few months. The Cyberstangs put up fierce competition during their first meet, and ended up winning the District Championship in March. In the following weeks, the team competed in a second district competition. The team advanced to the semi-finals. Cyberstangs’ rankings in these two competitions qualified the team for the state competition. This is the first time the team has qualified for the state competition. Congratulations Cyberstangs!

MFG Day 2018
On October 5th, Dominion hosted students from Eastpointe High School for MFG Day. MFG Day addresses the misperceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to open their doors and show, in a coordinated effort, “what manufacturing is” and “what it isn’t.”
Students were given interactive, hands on tours of Dominion’s manufacturing facilities. The goal of this event is to get students excited about our industry because this initiative is very important to the future of these students, Macomb County, and the long-term sustainability of Dominion Technologies Group.

Dominion Technologies Group Family Day
Dominion Technologies Group’s Family Day was a huge success! Employees and their families enjoyed many activities throughout the day, including a very special guest Detroit Piston’s Announcer Greg Kelser. There was also a Corn-hole Tournament, Free-Throw Contest, and the crowd favorite Dunk Tank. All money raised from these events went to support Shriners Hospitals for Children, and the Veterans Hospital in Detroit. The DTG Car Show was also a success, having more cars this year, plus a drag racer! Dominion wants to thank all the employees and their families for their continued support in making Dominion the best company possible.
Sturgeon Road Repair Update
Today kicks-off the repair of Sturgeon Street. Over the next few months our road will be completely tore out and repaired. This has been a long time coming, and we are excited for the project getting kicked-off. Stay tuned for updates throughout the process.
